The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe provides an aggressive looking vehicle with an accompanying V8 supercharged engine boosting 556 HP. Despite weighing approximately 4,200 pounds, the CTS-V employs a magnetic damping system to adjust to an agile or comfort setting. Cadillac also offers many features to retain its luxury roots.

The CTS-V is a beautiful car. Our particular model sat on black 19-inch rims with huge Brembo brakes and yellow calipers. In daily driving, the public constantly stared at the vehicle and some even asked to be photo’d with the vehicle. It’s definitely a car that has a lot of appeal with its futuristic sports car look. The interior makes it look more like a racecar than a luxury car. With many different textures and contrasts, the inside of the CTS-V is unique especially, with the touch of suede of the steering wheel and shift knob. Many of the luxury features carry over from the CTS sedan and I found that the Bose surround sound system adds a nice touch to the overall feel of the vehicle.

The CTS-V with its 556 HP can go from 0-60 mph in a notable 4.2 seconds. The Cadillac has an option to switch between touring and a sport suspension through its magnetic damping system. The sport setup offers a light and responsive steering while the touring setup gives the CTS-V a smooth ride. Which is surprising, considering the vehicle’s weight. Also, on the dash, there is a gauge that measures the pressure of the induced air entering the engine and its value varies with the amount of throttle pressed.

All in all, the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V is a great car. It is high-tech, crisp, fast and most importantly, modern. The vehicle appeals to a large amount of people and is fairly fuel-efficient with MPG values at 14 City/ 19 Highway. It has great acceleration, handling, appearance, and for being priced for roughly $70,000, it is a great value.
